Magic Touch Mechanical Reviews On The Internet Now Exceed Over 500!
When you do an Internet search for the home air conditioning, heating, and energy efficiency auditing company; Magic Touch Mechanical, one of the first suggestions Google delivers now is Magic Touch Mechanical Reviews.
Years ago Magic Touch embraced the idea of internet reviews and actively asked our clients to post a review about the service they received from us, but not because we knew it would become the resource it has for new customers to find us. We were looking for a place to direct people who asked if we could provide referrals from other people who had us install their air conditioning and heating unit.
It wasn’t very long ago (before the popularity of the internet and specifically on-line consumer review websites) when it was commonplace for a service company to have a few happy clients who were happy to take a phone call now and again and tell a prospective new client about their experience with the company and/or product, and we would typically provide them with a free maintenance or tune-up as a thank you.
Of course back in those days it was something we would ask of someone maybe two or three times a year. Now that we install and service over 5,000 clients each year, it would become a full-time job for them to provide a referral for everyone that asked!
So it was a no-brainer when one of the first of the big consumer review websites, Kudzu.com became popular that we started asking clients if they wouldn’t mind posting a review of how the Magic Touch Mechanical team did. That was in 2006 and since then over 200 Magic Touch customers have written reviews about their experience!
Around the same time, the paid subscription consumer review website, AngiesList.com also began to grow and become a wildly popular resource for consumers across the country, and as more and more people began sharing their experience on that website (and we are grateful to them all for all the wonderful reviews they have posted over the years), more “members” began to call us for HVAC service, system installation and energy audit testing and then in return they would also write a review. As of the time of this post, Magic Touch Mechanical reviews on Angie’s List total 245 reviews!
Yes, it’s important to understand how these websites generate revenue for themselves or shareholders so you know if the reviews themselves are trustworthy!
For example, Angie’s List is a paid subscription service and generates a portion of their revenue from their own members, however other sites like the very popular Yelp.com get their revenues by selling advertising to the very companies that are receiving the reviews…a business model that has led to multiple class-action lawsuits and thousands of complaints on Yelp to the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) and BBB (Better Business Bureau) by business owners who, along with one judge, refer to their business practices as “extortion” and “the modern day internet mafia”.
Even Magic Touch has felt the effects of the Yelp, “pay-to-play” scam. Since we do not advertise with Yelp, many of our wonderful reviews on their site are “filtered” or in all honesty “hidden” and very difficult to find…yet the negative reviews show right up!
Luckily for Magic Touch with the hundreds of other 5-star reviews on a plethora of other websites, our A+ BBB rating, complaint free record with the AZ Registrar of Contractors, and most recently being named the 2013 National Residential Contractor of the Year by the Air Conditioning Contractors of America, the Yelp scam hasn’t hurt business…something many other unfortunate companies around the country cannot claim.
