The SRP Cool Cash Rebate Program
SRP, one of our local power companies, is offering a rebate of up to $800 when you have a new high-efficiency central air conditioner or heat pump installed. This Cool Cash Rebate Program makes it more attractive than ever to have a new air conditioning installation in Phoenix, AZ.
The program applies to split and package air conditioning systems with a SEER rating of at least 16. The rebate amount goes with higher SEER and for systems with a variable capacity compressor. Heat pump systems must have SEER of 16 or greater and an HSPF of 8 or greater. An AC system with 17 SEER or a heat pump with 17 SEER/8 HSPF and a variable capacity compressor will earn the full $800 rebate.
There’s an important restriction, however: the installation must be done by an SRP Certified Contractor. This is because the most energy-efficient AC or heat pump ever manufactured won’t mean much if it was clumsily installed or poorly sized. Proper sizing and installation are a critical part of ensuring maximum energy savings and ideal comfort.
